Surf Lifesaving is a lifestyle
The exact date that a Lifesaving Club was first formed and commenced operation at Brighton Beach is unclear. Formal record keeping dates back to 1952, but anecdotal history suggests that the club was formed around 1925/26.
Today Brighton is one of the largest, and most successful, clubs in South Australia. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, relaxed and family based Surf Lifesaving club. We are 100% administered and operated by volunteers.

Few activities typify the Australian “have a go” culture more than Nippers.
Children are outdoors, getting fit, making friends, having fun and learning skills that one day they may even use to save a life!
To encourage kids to give it a go, we are holding open Come’n’Try days.
If your child is aged between 5 and 13 and loves the water, we’d love to see you!
There is no cost to come and try… just turn up on the day at 1.00 pm!
